Greatest Teacher

Last week I saw the obituary of one of the finest teachers I ever had. She was my fourth grade teacher that never once gave up on a troubled child. One of the best words to describe her, and that was used in her obit, was the word encouraging. At every turn, she did just that for every single child she came in contact with, and always with an ever-present smile. Mrs. Bolin was loving and caring beyond what most people could achieve. I have thought of her so many times over the nearly forty years since I was in her class, always with a smile, and always with a grateful heart. The world was a better place with her in it. I will never forget her.
